“I gained a wealth of practical knowledge and skills that are not typically covered in a classroom setting. I was happy to get hands-on experience in the actual project design process. One of the most significant areas of learning was understanding the intricacies of FF&E. I learned about selecting appropriate materials, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that all elements meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.“

“I was happy to be guided by Melissa and Nancy throughout this journey. Their guidance and experience helped me gain more knowledge on the industry and what goes on behind the scenes in an interior design project. It surprised me to see that the interns were given creative freedom, and time to adapt to new software’s, as I did not experience this in my previous internships.”

“I had lots of opportunities to collaborate, both in person and online, especially in the first few weeks of my internship where we were doing frequent site visits and had to work together to get the job done as quickly and correctly as possible - I really enjoyed working with my colleagues. There were lots of team calls as well and tasks with the team overseas too. I was so happy and grateful to do this internship!! I have learnt so much and have grown so much and have gained a lot more confidence and feel more equipped to search for jobs and opportunities in the future - thank you so much!!!!”

Since the start of the internship, I have felt well supported and comfortable asking questions, which encouraged me to be more curious and eager to learn new tasks. I felt that I could lean on the mentors, especially Melissa, whenever I was struggling with a task.
